ACTIVITIES


In this week we started with the Unit 13 “Productivity”, and the topics that we learned were:

© Adjectives and verbs, I studied the examples and I observed the difference between everyone and the rules. We completed a text with adverbs formed of adjectives.
© We worked with Modals of obligation
© Also we did a diagram about Just in time Production
© We completed a table with Noun, Person and Verb for example: production, product and produce.

Finally, we worked in groups, talked about a dilemma “Service not included” and we discuss the options, so we chose the best solution for the problem in a Company.

ACTIVITIES


In these days we worked with the Unit 12 “Service” A complaint is a gift. We talked about Customer satisfaction and customer service, this is very importante because we can offer higher quality in the products or services, answer questions, we must be polite and it will cause that the company have a good reputation.

We read an article, and we answered the questions. I learned new synonyms; collocations and the teacher explained the Conditionals. I think that the topics were very interesting.

: Productivity and quality-control problems

It has come to me notice that productivity has fallen an the last three months. We need to increase it by 5% over the next quarter to be able to compete with our competitors.

In addition, we have had a number of compalints recently. Customers were returning components because of poor quality. When did you last review your quality-control procedures?

Please let me know your thoughts on these points.

Subject: Productivity and quality-control problems

We have had production problems for the last twelve weeks. The production deparment ordered new machinery but it was not installed correctly. This caused an implementation delay. The problem has been solved now and is possible that the productivity increase by 5% in the next quarter.

The quality-control procedures were reviewed six weeks ago. Three weeks ago we had a staff shortage and this caused quality problems. But we will recruit more staff and the problem will be solve.

I bought a DVD player from your company and it is not working. When I telephoned customer services they said that they would send a replacement but I never arrived.

I am very sorry that you have a problem with your DVD player. We could either these solutions: a refund or a replacement. if we arrange a refund, it will take two weeks to go into your account. Now, we could send a replacement, but it would receive you in three working days.
